“Today I will do what others won’t, so tomorrow I can accomplish what others can’t.” - Jerry Rice
Happy Heart Day!
Anatomy was a class that allowed me to exert the closet artist in me in the name of studying. I drew this to learn all the different cardiac vessels so that I could find the suckers during lab.
Left side: arteries
3 major vessels off aorta - brachiocephalic (branches to R subclavian & R common carotid), L common carotid, L subclavian
L coronary artery - divides to circumflex branch & anterior interventricular (LAD aka “widow-maker”)
R coronary artery - divides to marginal branch & posterior interventricular (blood supply to back portion of heart)
Right side: veins
pulmonary trunk - divides to L/R pulmonary arteries
great cardiac vein (brings blood from front portion of heart)
middle cardiac vein (brings blood from back portion of heart)
coronary sinus (blood from great & middle cardiac vein into the R atrium)
